"Nothing in a person's race, gender, nationality, religious persuasion, sexual orientation or any other aspect of individuality, shall disqualify that person from participationg fully and equally in the human experience at the highest level"The New Revelations - A conversation with God" by Neale Donald Walsch
In the past 10 years I have read a succession of books from "The Celestine Prophecy" to "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz and of course the Conversations with God, parts 1, 2, and 3. They all provide really signifcant insights into the state of humanity today and the need for us to revolutionise our worldview, perspectives and socio-economic structures that have evolved from the current worldview.
Recently, while book browsing I came upon " The New Revelations" which is supposed to be part 4 of the Conversations with God series. I am not sure if I am reading it at a different point in my life after several different types of challenging experiences but the revelations being supposedly given by God are startlingly precise and relevant to all that humanity is experiencing now. The quote above was recommended by God in the book as a statement of how we should operate. As I read the book I will continue to make notes of interesting and appealing ideas as I go along.
He also talks about the 5 Fallacies of Life which are the root of all the crisis, vilence, war, killing and social problems we face:
1. Human beings are separate from each other
2. There is not enough of what human beings need to be happy
3. To get the stuff of which there is not enough, human beings must compete with each other
4. Some human beings are better than other human beings
5. It is appropriate for human beings to resolve severe differences created by all the other fallacies by killing each other
These are some extremely potent ideas that is carefully examined we will come to realise are at the heart of our cultures and societies and do cause a signifcant problem in the way that we see things and do things at all levels in our societies.
Just to tackle one of these at a time:
1. If we were to realise , as all of the prophets, sages and wise men of the past and recent times have been trying to knock into our heads, that we are all ONE. We and the stars are one...every thing on this planet and universe, every person, animal and thing are made of the same and part of one huge unit that is ultimately God, the way we do and view things would shift considerably
2. If we really understood the significance of point one, above and the fact that we are ONE with everything and everyone we would come to understand that there is nothing like the insane concept of scarcity. Everything we need is available if we treat it like it is a part of us. An honestly, there is enough of what we all need and even to a significant degree, want. We only will run into scarcity when people begin to let greed step in and 'want' more than they can even use or more than is needed. The planet has been so good to mankind thus far and continues to be - there is no such thing as scarcity.
3. There is no need for competition because we have enough of what we need and the planets' resources are enough to keep us all satisfied and happy if we change our focus for materialistic capitalism and start to focus on what relly matters in life.
4. WE AND THE STARS ARE ONE - we are all the same stuff in different forms -totally equal, individually unique, absolutely beautiful
5. If we believe in the top 4 - this will not even be an idea in anyone's head
Walsch also makes a signifcant comment which for a language lover like myself is very interesting. God in response to Walsch's question about him referring to God interchangeably as "He" and " She", God says, "I do it because I know that language is a very powerful part of the creation of the cultural story of humans"
For too long people have used language flippantly without coming to terms with and taking responsibility for the cultural and social repercussions and reverberations language has. Language is the basis of our expression, communication and evolution as it has allowed humanity to grow, develop and mature. If we do not take stock of the way we use words to free or ensnare ourselves and others we will continue down the path of self destruction.
More to come on these interesting revelations.....
